Building (Palazzo)

The apartment is located in a very important historical building.

The House for the employees of the Governorate is one of the most important buildings built over the years Twenty in Rome.

In 1925 the Governorate of Rome announced the first competition for the construction of residential houses for its employees. Many young architects participated in the competition and the first prize was awarded, in 1926, to the project created by the architect Mario de Renzi and the engineer Luigi Ciarrocchi.

The building was designed in an elaborate mannerist style, sometimes mistakenly identified as Roman Baroque, although in this case we cannot speak of Baroque but of a mature Renaissance style, of Tuscan ancestry. The works ended in 1929.
